About the Founder
Hans Lowtoo is a luxury and media professional whose career spans over several countries.
Originally from the island of Mauritius, he began his career in media at Radio One, the country's first private radio station, where he developed his passion for interviewing, storytelling, and showcasing human journeys.
Driven by this calling, he went on to study filmmaking at the CityVarsity School of Media & Creative
Arts in Cape Town, South Africa, specializing in television and film.
After completing his training, he built a career as a television presenter in South Africa, gaining solid experience in production, storytelling, and hosting.
He then settled in Paris, where he spent fourteen years in the luxury industry, developing international expertise in client relations, communications, and project management.
With The Kestrel Diaries, Hans Lowtoo now returns to his first passion: telling inspiring human stories. His ambition is to build a lasting audiovisual memory of the Mauritian diaspora and to shine a light on the journeys of those who proudly carry Mauritius's colours
around the world.
